i am regular chat member, i need to findout who are all coming new nick name dailly, and somebody kidding badly,
i have to find them, so i need them ip address,

pls help me for this issue,

I was recently conned US$3000 by someone pretending to be selling me goods from UK. I wish i knew then what I know today because I have managed to discover all along that I was being cheated from our next door country i.e Uganda. This lady was never in UK or South America as claimed.

Now I am finding it hard to find IP of a google mail send to a yahoo address like mine. That down, show original is not there.

1. Its not helpful to just say use netstat without providing more resources on how to read and use the application.

2. Not necessary to close anti virus and auto updating software. Highly unlikely that those softwares will be updating as you run netstat.

3. Trace route doesn’t do much. Checking what city the original IP address is from (as you suggested) does everything you are suggesting that trace route accomplishes.

4. Sum of article. Close all non essential programs that uses the internet, but keep open the chat program. Start a file transfer from your’s to the target’s computer. Use betstat to see what IP addresses your computer is talking to. Filter which one is the target’s by process of elimination. Research via internet what company owns the address and what area of the world do they service.

That’s all you can do without a court order. It is not trivial to dig for the real name and address of the account holder of the internet accout who is using a certain IP address at a certain time. And even if you did, who’s to say they weren’t at a coffee shop using the wireless?

when ever i do ipconfig then i get local ip address by that ip i cant do any things on nbtstat so what to do .is there any method to get connection or find out ip add.
